I, being Joel’s older brother, also grew up in a home where water treatment was in our blood. We were in the water treatment industry in Eastern SD. My Father (1950-1970’s) and then I took over for my father in the late 70’s through 1990’s. We built, sold, and installed water treatment systems throughout Eastern SD and Western Minnesota.
My family and I moved to Washington State and entered the construction business, and for the past 35 years in Real Estate.
Upon a return visit to South Dakota, I had the opportunity to see firsthand what Joel was doing with Applied Water Technologies, as I watched and learned the difference between what Joel was doing compared to what we (back then) and frankly everyone else in the industry is still doing, well I have to say it got my attention.
What Applied Water Technologies was offering was not what my father and I sold and not what others are selling even today.
Returning to Washington, what I learned in the past was a vast difference in the new technologies and innovations and science of the Hague Water Treatment Systems along with the systems that Applied Water Technologies put in place started building a burning within and has led me back to the family business of water treatment again, offering soft and more importantly clean and safe water to the fine folks in the pacific northwest.

My wife Tanya and I live in the mountains nearby where we love horses and being in the beautiful outdoors. We have 7 children and 14 grandchildren
